Le chat

You are a cat living in a big city. You go out your house. You see people walking around and you know that they are not real. They are just illusions created by the mind of someone who is bored or lonely.

> You meow.
You don't want to be alone, so you meow. It doesn't work though because there are no other cats here.

> You see a dog.
You see a dirty mutt walking around the street. He doesn't notice you. You decide to follow him around just to see where he goes.
He walks to a big house and sits by the front door.

> You sit next to the dog.
You sit down next to the dog.
He looks at you and his tongue comes out. He opens his mouth and you stick your face in it. He licks your face and you feel much better.

> You ask the dog why all the people aren't real.
You want to know why this is all happening. The dog looks at you and answers, "This is all just an illusion."
"What?" you ask.
"This is just an illusion."

> You why? Are you an illusion too?
"No," the dog says, "I am real. Everything else is an illusion."
"What do you mean?"
The dog stands up and looks at the sky.
"The sun, the moon, the stars and this entire city are just illusions."
"But where is here?" you ask. "How do you know all this?"
"Because I am real," the dog says.
"What are you?" you ask, scared of the strange creature in front of you.
"I am a doghouse."
You are getting really scared now.

> You say "I am a cat. Do dogs eat cats?"
The dog looks at you and his tongue comes out again. He runs around you and jumps in the air. He pats you on the head.
"No, cats do not eat dogs," he says.

> You say "Do dogs eat cats?"
The dog barks and you are scared.
"No," he says, "Cats do not eat dogs."
You are glad to hear this.
"Why not?" you ask.
"Because," he says, "Cats are nice. Dogs are mean."
"Are you nice?" you ask.
"Yes," he says, "I am very nice.

> You say "You said you are a dog, but said dogs are mean. But you're nice."
"I am a doghouse. Dogs live in it," he explains.
You think to yourself, "This dog must be crazy."
The dog continues.
"I am a stupid dog. I know if you are a cat, but I am too stupid to realize that dogs live in houses."

> You say "Some dogs don't live in houses. They are lost in the streets."
The dog looks at you and barks.
"Stupid dogs," he says, "Why don't you go find your master. You are stupid dogs."

> You say "It's difficult sometimes. Some master doesn't want to have the dogs anymore."
"So sad," the dog says, "But I am a good doghouse. Good people live in it."
You feel a lot better after talking to the dog. You decide to follow him.

> You say "You said you're stupid, but you really doesn't seem to be."
"Thank you," the dog says, "But I am a very stupid dog."

> You say "Admitting it makes you not stupid."
The dog looks at you with pity in his eyes.
"I am a stupid dog," he admits. "I know, but it doesn't make me less sad."

> You say "Why are you sad, if you live with good people?"
"Because they don't love me," the dog says, "And I want to be loved."
You look at the dog with admiration. You can relate to that. Sometimes you feel like your not good enough.

> You say "If they don't love you, they're not good people."
The dog looks at you and barks.
"You're right," he says, "You are right."
He runs towards the forest, jumping over the little stones on the path. You follow him.
